WHO ARE WE? WHO WE ARE: We are three friends who love making great music. Songwriter/vocalist Josef Gordon hailing from Houston, Texas; Producer/drummer and Robb "Rapture" Hutzal of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Composer/Guitarist Kellen Tyler Mills from San Jose, California make up this burgeoning song writing and production trio that is The RedElect.
WHAT WE DO:
Our mission is to make great pop music that is indeed "real " music by applying Josef's passion for strong melody and lyrics with the trained versatility of Kellen's composition and chord structure, supported by the always bangin', rhythmic and ear-pleasing esthetics of Robb's production perfection.
WHY WE DO IT:
We aim to create a sound that is unlike any other. Robb Hutzal and Kellen Tyler Mills, both graduates of Musicians' Institute in Hollywood, California bring a fresh sense of musicality to a genre sometimes over-saturated with a lot of the same. Josef however helps keep the raw independent edge of his colleagues in a true "pop" balance by ensuring catchy melodies and relatable lyrics. Collectively, we strive to create memorable melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and uniquely well-arranged chord progressions set against smart, percussive, drum and bass grooves.
OUR INFLUENCES:
Because we each have such a diverse background, we all bring different elements to the table. Kellen Mills grew up listening to Metal and Hard Rock, Robb Hutzal grew up with Hip Hop and R&B, Josef Gordon with Radio Pop hits.
